PPC Account Manager

Leading independent digital agency – Permanent role

The Agency is an award winning digital media agency based in London. A Sunday Times Tech Track top 50 company who have an interest in personal development and a flexible working environment that you wouldn’t get in a large media network. They have a host of tier 1 clients and pride themselves on being technically strong and provide a conducive environment for employees to grow and develop.

They are on the hunt for an outstanding PPC Account Manager to work on some of the UK’s leading brands. They are looking for someone who can come in and hit the ground running, so experience within an agency environment working on large scale clients is essential for this role.

The main purpose of the role is to take ownership of the creation, optimisation and future development of the allocated Paid Search portfolio, including overseeing the work of the Paid Search account team. The Account Manager works with an Account Executive in being the frontline point-of-call for the client for PPC, managing the performance of the activity as well as the expectations of the client.

Responsibilities:

Account Planning
• Put together plans to organise mid- term campaign actions and goals
• Develop a thorough understanding of the client’s brand, marketing and business objectives and where search fits within this
• Input in to client planning, including ensuring roadmaps and plans are kept up to date and tasks are delivered
• Forecast of campaigns and support for new account initiatives

Campaign Activation
• Agreeing and delivering the performance, return on investment and other KPIs as per client briefs
• Develop campaign strategies that achieve client outcomes
• Quality control of the output of direct reports, including reviewing work before it’s delivered to clients

Campaign Optimisation
• Manage bidding strategies across accounts and ensure activity spends to budget
• Deliver in depth analysis to understand performance beyond top line metrics and driving innovation, ideas and strategic guidance across the team
• Execute and track tests with methodical accuracy
• Providing key insights on regular reports, identifying new opportunities for the activity

Collaboration
• Integrates activity and has awareness of activity across search (including SEO & content), media and analytics
• Work alongside Client Directors and other teams to achieve key business objectives, offering insight and direction around the Paid Search activity
• Identify opportunities for business development amongst existing clients, and both up-sell and cross-sell opportunities

Relationship Management
• Understands clients’ business and the KPIs as well as building partnerships with internal and external parties
• Production of monthly meeting presentations, including key insights in to performance

People Management
• Inspiring people to contribute and deliver work they take pride in. Leading by example.
• Management of the Basecamp account for assigned clients and any team members

Thought Leadership
• Implement Paid Search best practices and contribute to team knowledge sharing
• Contributes to team growth and knowledge base, providing coaching and overseeing one or more junior team members
• Training of department processes and use of platforms for direct reports and the wider team
