Data Scientist – Unstructured Data Sources

Xcede's Data Science & Engineering team are currently working with one of the world’s leading Research & Marketing companies who collaborate with clients in 100+ countries. The specific Data Science and Machine Learning team that we’re partnering with in this institution focuses on understanding the unstructured data that is available to them from multiple data sources (images, online searches, text and video) and enabling better business decisions based on the insight that comes from this. We’re looking for another Data Scientist to join this established unit which will enable the team to take on even more work.

This would be a great role for someone who wants to continue to learn from experienced Data Scientists & Machine Learning Engineers whilst still partaking in key projects for a business.

Key Responsibilities:

- Utilise unstructured data from a huge range of sources (3rd party APIs and proprietary algorithms)
- Discuss the results of investigations with clients
- Constantly improve / ensure that the tools and techniques that the company are using are up to date and cutting edge.
- Contribute to the overall Data Strategy for the business


- MSc (ideally) in a relevant subject.
- Strong Python skills
- Strong grasp of ML methods.
- Ability to work with colleagues / stakeholder from a variety of backgrounds.

Bonus Points!

- Experience with unstructured data (NLP / Computer Vision, etc)
- Experience with Deep Learning (CNN / RNNs)
