Our Client who is a leading retailer are open to a variety of analytical backgrounds which will be accommodated within this role; so if you’ve worked with web data for example as well as marketing and customer data, they would look to focus you on the online and multi channels.

Their are 4-6 direct reports – great opportunity for a Senior Analyst who currently manages to step into a formal management role
Variety of project work, flexible team; recently been working on choosing rewards for customers – what is memorable for customers? looking to deliver highly personalised rewards through campaigns

You could be a Senior Analyst looking to take a step into formal management role or an experienced manager looking to move into the fast paced grocery retail industry; so management training will be provided for those who wish to take on this more formal role.

Working for this major UK retailer, you will be leading a team of Analysts, providing project leadership as well as owning your own ad hoc analysis projects.

This particular team focuses on customer targeting through highly personalized and data driven multi-channel marketing campaigns and the measurement and analysis of these.

This is a client facing team, so you will be liaising and influencing senior level stakeholders, providing them with actionable insights and recommendations around customer loyalty initiatives and marketing campaigns. You will be asking the ‘so what’ of analysis in order to understand customer behavior, identifying trends in order to help influence decisioning across the marketing functions.

You will need to have:

Educated to degree level in a numerate subject
A broad background in solving complex statistical problems, using customer and marketing analysis, using techniques such as modelling, CHAID, cluster analysis etc.
Industry background ideally within retail; other customer based industries considered; travel, utilities, financial services, e-retailers
Strong and efficient programming skills using SAS Base and SQL; additional skills in R or Python viewed favourably
Excellent communication skills in order to liaise with clients and internal colleagues
Confident in leading, mentoring or managing staff
