Role: Sr Android Developer
Rate: £500 - £600 Per Day
Location: Soho
Contract: 6 – 12 Months

I’m working within the innovation area of one of the HOTTEST TECHNOLOGY brands in the country, who are looking for a Lead/Senior Android Engineer!

You will be expected to have a solid understanding of RX Java and Object Oriented Programming & any exposure to IOT or embedded software will give you a distinct advantage but not a necessity. Overall this person needs to be technically sound with 5-7 years working within Android Developer,… part of your responsibilities day-to-day will be mentoring and advising less experienced engineers on their code / design patterns e.tc

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a company which has transformed the way we control the energy supply within our households! Working in the west-end this will be an initial 6 month contract with the highly likelihood of an extension

Spec:
· Excellent knowledge of design patterns and strong OOP skills.
· Published multiple Android apps to the Play store
· Knowledge of Gradle build system
· Be familiar with the MVP pattern and Clean Architecture
· Hands on experience and knowledge most popular 3rd party libraries including Retfrofit, Dagger and RxJava
· Experience ensuring compatibility with older Android versions - Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON
· Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
· A solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.
· Experience of building custom UIs
· Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
· Experience of using Git, GitHub, Jenkins, Jira
· Experience with TDD.
· Familiarity with tracking app metrics using 3rd party analytics tools e.g. Crashlytics/Fabric
· Good communicator and proactive team player eager to learn new technologies.
· Experience with Agile Scrum and Kanban methodologies
· Experience in IoT domain is a plus.
· Experience with Bluetooth and IP based device integrations within Android applications is a plus.
