Xcede are working with a world-class leading creative agency who are looking for a Lead PHP Developer to lead their internal development team.


- You will be the Lead PHP Developer who will hit the ground running hands on and hands off.
- You will have responsibility for the digital team's infrastructure and technology platforms.
- Projects range from developing bespoke digital experiences from scratch to working with off the shelf enterprise applications.
- Their work is vital as the company transitions from old process to new digital ways of working.
- These guys have won multiple awards and accreditations and have a strong worldwide presence

Role Responsibilities for the Lead PHP Developer:

- Development and maintenance of existing internal applications
- Building new digital applications based on business requirements.
- Working on and improving existing websites and applications.
- Leading two junior developers within the team (set to grow).
- Crafting high-level systems architecture.
- Accurate documenting of Code.
- Working with the Digital Manager to scope solutions.
- Being the Lead PHP Developer you will be the ambassador of all things technical within the company.
- Liaising with regional IT teams remotely to provide support and implement new digital systems.
- Other ad-hoc duties as required


Requirements

Strong experience for the Lead PHP Developer will be the following:
- PHP, MySQL, CSS, JavaScript, Symfony, Docker, Managing AWS Cloud services or similar
- Demonstrable experience in delivering websites using WordPress and PHP
- Strong understanding of full stack of web technologies
- Demonstrable experience of working and customising themes, plugins and caching systems.
- Comfortable customising and modifying plugins.
- Experience working in a structured, team-based environment
- Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
