Rate: £550 per day
Contract: 6 Months

Opportunity to work a long-term contract with a FTSE 100 organisation!!!

We’re looking for world class Scala Developers to develop integration middleware between mobile apps and core (SAP) backend systems including API creation and management.

Must be able to understand end to end design patterns and have the ability to design, redesign or design around architectural stacks.

• Someone who can reverse engineer solution and enhance Scala/Akka based middleware to a high quality.
• A keen problem solver, who can come up with creative answers to our field workforces' needs.
• Someone passionate about performance and scalability.
• A person with their own opinions and ideas, willing to challenge the norm where necessary and appropriate.
• Someone who understands design concepts, typography.
• Ability to communicate with distributed and virtual team colleagues.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and identify modifications needed in existing applications to meet changing user requirements.
• Participate in discussions/planning around system architecture.
• Participate as part of an Agile Scrum team.
• Be able to adapt to changing business requirements.
• Provide 3rd line support for production systems.
• Research new technologies to help improve the infrastructure, efficiency and security of projects.

• SCALA programming
• Play! Framework
• Akka
• Apache Camel (Desirable)
• ActiveMQ or similar Message Queuing Technology (Desirable)
• CA Layer 7 API management (Desirable)
• RESTful APIs
• Couchbase (Desirable)
• CouchDB or other noSQL Database technologies
