£40,000 - £45,000

An exciting start-up business disrupting the property market is now seeking a QA Automation Engineer to join their rapidly expanding engineering team. They have offices based very close to Hyde Park and looking for someone to really set the tone for QA best practice.

The ideal candidate will be someone who possesses excellent problem solving skills, has a diverse set of technical skills both in software testing and automation scripting. They must be a strong communicator, have an excellent eye for detail and a structured approach. They must have the ability to develop effective working relationships with all areas of the business.

• Responsible for the creation of Project Test Plans, Test Cases and Scripts
• Hosting document reviews as needed
• Accountability for the testing and overall quality of a component of their product
• Identify and articulately communicate technical issues, risks and inter-component dependencies
• Working closely with developers on a day-to-day basis, providing additional support in troubleshooting software issues
• Keeping ahead of relevant, current and leading technological advancements with a view to improving the QA infrastructure and processes

Required Skills / Experience:
• Be educated to A level or equivalent in an IT related subject
• Have previous experience in a software QA automation role
• Commercial experience working in a structured environment with standard QA Procedures and Processes
• Previous strong experience of working in an environment encompassing the full life cycle of product development from defining and writing the technical specification through to release
• Capability in prioritizing individual workload and potentially other team members in a high pressured and time constrained environment
• Have the ability to demonstrate skills in troubleshooting and ‘thinking on your feet’
• Have a proven ability to work autonomously and within a cross functional team
• Have an excellent understanding of BDD or TDD – specifically Cucumber
• Have a strong understanding of Linux
