We discuss how important agile is to the digital agency scene
London is one of the most innovative and exciting digital hubs in the world. The digital market is continuing to grow, increasing the need for project managers who are able to control projects and ensure developers don't get carried away! Therefore it is now more important than ever to make the right decisions. It is clear that within the market there is a struggle to understand who is actually using a formal agile approach and who isn’t.
There has been a shift in some agencies who are now sending their workforce on agile training courses as few actually work to a formal agile approach with their clients. Small agencies have some way to go in terms of implementing an agile workflow. This is in contrast to larger agencies that can offer a greater opportunity to work with some very well-known brands and are often more open to the agile approach.

Of course, it is easier said than done, although it is very difficult to get some clients to really buy into working in this way. This is due to the high level of trust and key stakeholder integration needed to be fully coherent. Conversely, some agencies have seen the polar opposite of this from clients, as some actively request that this approach is put into place.
The agency land is certainly evolving and there are a lot of passionate people in the market who are actively trying to implement a formal way of working with agile. Most are seeing successes and expect this method of working to evolve over the next few years.
